According to the expected programme, at 20.45h there will be the 3 Magi’s speech, addressed to the thousands of children who will have accompanied them in their ride. Then, to finish the celebration, amazing fireworks will dance in the sky with the music of the first movement of the Toys Symphony, by Leopold Mozart.

“Play Stories” has been carried out with the collaboration of the Somosclicks Barcelona Association, a group that organizes different activities all along Catalonia to promote the preservation of these toys not only among the children, but also the adult population. Together, the museum and the association have managed to join a great amount of pieces that are capable to transmit the essence of very different moments of the human history.

In total, 6 different scenes give live to the Roman world, Egyptian, Prehistory, the Dinosaurs time, the Middle Ages and the commercial interchange between Iberians and Phoenicians.

Definitely, this is a very original way to know more about our origins through a different resource. For the little ones, this exhibition will probably change the idea of the boring museum and will let them enjoy the history while they use their imagination. This year’s race will be the 34 edition of the famous and traditional Madrid’s San Silvestre Vallecana race, which takes place every 31st of December in the streets of the Spanish capital. The aim of this event is to celebrate the last day of the year, and the participants are in charge of making the race a party by wearing funny customs and filling everything with its happiness.

Every year, the race is massively followed and thousands of people decide to run together. Actually, this year’s edition is expected to mobilize 35000 people! The runners are divided into two categories: the popular one, where you can run with the only condition of being older than 16 years old; and the professional one, with specific conditions to accomplish.

The race, which will start at 17.30h in the Concha Espina Street, will pass by the main touristic points, such as the Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles Fountain or the Paseo del Arte.

A little recommendation for the participants: Although most of the route is quite comfortable, as it is slightly down, the last part of the itinerary is supposed to be a little more ascendant and difficult, so… reserve energy for the end!
