Circuit Festival 2012 in Barcelona

Circuit Festival began to take shape four years ago in response to the needs of a concerned international gay scene that began to demand new entertainment options apart from the traditional ones that had been associated with the LGBT audience.
And, until then, in Europe there had been an obvious gap in terms of a leisure and holiday quality offer that was able to satisfy the expectations of an audience that, increasingly, was as diverse as demanding.
With the necessary capacity and structure to offer to the gay community a comprehensive leisure option as respectful to their needs and preferences to satisfy their expectations, Circuit Festival Barcelona was born in 2008, and now is the biggest cultural and leisure international festival for gays and lesbians in Europe.

The parks of Barcelona

Barcelona has many parks, some are traditional, with large green areas, and others are special, where the art is the main protagonist.

Parc de la Ciutadella Barcelona

The second category includes the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial (Industrial Spanish Park). This area includes a large plaza, an artificial lake, fountains, play areas, and sports infrastructure. But specially there are several sculptures, partly modernist and partly replicas of ancient statues, and a series of futuristic watchtowers.
On the same way there is also the famous Parc Guell, by the great architect Antoni Gaudí. The park is an open-air museum, where the imagination of the great catalan artist was able to express its highest levels.

The Ciutadella Park is instead, along with Montjuic and Tibidabo, the Barcelona’s green lung. The Catalan Parliament is located in a building at the center of the park. The most popular attraction in the Parc de la Ciutadella is no doubt the Parc Zoologic, with about 7.500 animals representing 400 different species. The Zoo occupies about 13 hectare of the park. At the northern corner of the park there is an artificial lake where people can sail with small boats, and a waterfall fountain built for the 1888 Universal exhibition, with the supervision of the young Antoni Gaudì.

Parc Guell Barcelona

A great maintenance of parks and gardens, trees and forest areas, with sustainability and environmental friendliness as well as facilities such as play areas for children, the facilities of leisure or recreational areas for dogs, are characteristic of Barcelona, becouse green spaces are the heritage of the city, while providing places for outdoor recreation and the promotion of coexistence.
This is the reason why in the parks of Barcelona you’ll can find many activities, such as Música als Parcs, a series of concerts that run in Barcelona throughout the summer months.

The parks of Barcelona are a great alternative to the beach to relax yourself after the a tourist hard day and before returning to one of our exclusive apartments.
