Cine Lliure a la Platja is a poetic experience that retrieves you the idea of sharing art in a public space, involving the idea of celebration. Barcelona has many parks, some are traditional, with large green areas, and others are special, where the art is the main protagonist.

The second category includes the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial (Industrial Spanish Park). This area includes a large plaza, an artificial lake, fountains, play areas, and sports infrastructure. But specially there are several sculptures, partly modernist and partly replicas of ancient statues, and a series of futuristic watchtowers.
On the same way there is also the famous Parc Guell, by the great architect Antoni Gaudí. The park is an open-air museum, where the imagination of the great catalan artist was able to express its highest levels.

The most popular attraction in the Parc de la Ciutadella is no doubt the Parc Zoologic, with about 7.500 animals representing 400 different species. The Zoo occupies about 13 hectare of the park. At the northern corner of the park there is an artificial lake where people can sail with small boats, and a waterfall fountain built for the 1888 Universal exhibition, with the supervision of the young Antoni Gaudì.

The Liceu Theatre opens its majestic foyer and reading room only until July 29 to the guided tours of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. These dependencies are never been opened to the public.

The latest developments in brain research will be presented at the 8th FENS Forum of Neuroscience, a meeting with 6500 neuroscientists in the CCIB Convention Centre in Barcelona, Spain, from July 14-18.

The FENS Forum of Neuroscience is the largest international neuroscience meeting in Europe, involving all neuroscience societies members of FENS, and held every two years on even years. The event is organized by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and hosted by the Sociedad Española de Neurociencia.

The programme of the FENS Forum 2012 will attract around 6500 international delegates to present important advances in fields such as:
• Brain development
• Learning and memory
• Behaviour and emotions
• Spinal cord injury
• Genetics

FENS organizes three series of scientific meetings, the FENS Forums, the FENS Featured Regional Meetings, and the FENS-ESF Neuroscience Conference Series on the Dynamic Brain to promote neuroscience research both in Europe at large and in the respective countries of its member societies, and to facilitate the interaction between scientists in and outside Europe.
