Barcelona is known for being one of the best cities to travel to in Europe. It’s modern, but holds a strong identity with its past through its architecture and great preservation throughout the city. You can see the hip new clubs on the boardwalk of Port Olympic or travel back in time to the medieval era with the streets of the Gothic Quarter or El Born District. Just remember to take it all in as you walk down the small and narrow cobblestone streets or even as you shuffle through the busy center of Plaça Catalunya.

Port Olympic Boardwalk

This boardwalk is a marina that is located at the east of the Port of Barcelona. It opened back in 1991 and hosted sailing events for the 1992 Summer Olympics, which is why it has become such a developed hotspot. It wasn’t always this way, in fact it was filled with squatters and immigrants before the Olympics took place. It’s done a complete 360 and is now the place to be because of its fabulous nightlife and strategic waterfront location. Take a stroll to the beach or see it lit up at night with all the part goers and clubs in full swing.
