From January 24 to February 9, 2014, the city of Madrid is transformed into the world capital of gastronomy, and offers a multitude of culinary attractions.
The city of Madrid invites everyone to enjoy first rate cuisine during the Madrid Fusión International Gastronomy Summit. This is a world-class encounter between professional chefs, but its Gastrofestival 2014 also takes some of its creations out into the streets of Madrid.

This wide-ranging programme includes everything from delicious set menus in selected restaurants, culinary workshops, to gastronomy-themed exhibitions in major museums.
Gastrofestival returns to Madrid with an extensive programme of food-related activities and experiences
Now in its fifth year, the event pays tribute to gastronomy, not only from a culinary point of view, but also from the perspective of other disciplines such as art, film and fashion.
For more than two weeks, and coinciding with the international Madrid Fusión summit, over 300 of the city’s establishments will be taking part in this event that sets out to delight the five senses and raise the profile of one of the capital’s foremost tourist attractions, its gastronomy. This art form is becoming increasingly popular with visitors coming to Madrid, attracted by one of the liveliest and most diverse culinary scenes in the world.

Restaurants, cocktail bars, cookery schools, gourmet shops, clothing and accessories stores, cultural institutions, art galleries and museums are all part of a wide-ranging programme consisting of six broad categories: Sensory Experiences, Gastroculture, Gourmet Madrid, Gastrofashion, Gastrohealth and Wine Culture, packed with events and activities to suit all tastes and budgets.
Diehard coffee lovers will not want to miss the Colombian Cofee route, one of the exciting events making its first appearance at Gastrofestival 2013. Menus at “fashionable” prices put together by one of today’s most glamorous magazines and served in the most chic restaurants. Don’t miss out on the ‘Route for the sweet-toothed’a new addition to the 2013 event. Let yourself be whisked away to the best cake shops in town and succumb to some temptingly sweet treats.
