The advancing normalization of the gay community has been increasing its share of the tourism market, which currently accounts for 15% of all international travel. Madrid’s excellent position as a great gay friendly international destination makes it the perfect place for this convention.
Entrepreneurs, media executives, business associations, political leaders, destination promoters, CEOs and directors of multinationals, airlines, hotel chains, business schools and tour operators are all invited to share ideas, experiences and business opportunities in the LGBT segment.
Following the 2013 convention in Chicago, Madrid will host this year’s event. For four days, attendees will analyse the changing realities of a market segment that is growing hand-in-hand with an increased acceptance of everything related to the Gay & Lesbian tourism industry in the Western world. The Madrid date will include Pre and Post FAMs to other cities in Spain and of course, to multiple destinations in the Madrid region.
IGLTA is the world’s largest association dedicated to connecting gay friendly businesses with GAY & LES (LGBT) travellers , with more than 2,500 members worldwide. It is also the onlgy LGBT association that belongs to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Full information on the IGLTA official webpage.
