Great atmosphere and great music are the stars of the summer in Barcelona. Particularly, Música als Parcs is a series of concerts that run in Barcelona throughout the summer months of June, July and August.
This is the 17th year of the “Music in the Parks“, a great annual series of free-concerts located in many parks and gardens of the city.
The concerts are organized by the Barcelona City Council and the programme is a good mix of classica and jazz music.
If you are a jazz lover, you can find jazz amazing and free concerts from June to August on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10pm in Ciutadella park in front of the fountain. In July, young musicians perform a varied classical concert programme from Thursday to Saturday in various parks.

The program of summer concerts “Music in the Parks” was born 17 years ago to bring over all public the quality music. At the same time the intencions is to promote the possibilities of the parks as spaces of communal life and leisure, during the evenings and nights of summer.
In 2012 there are 41 free concerts in the parks. Most concerts are 1 hour in length and start at 20:00 or 21:00. The full programme of the events of the festival can be found on the oficial webpage.
