In the early 1960s Salvador Dali (1904-1989) began to create the museum, which is now considered to be the largest surrealistic object in the world, on the ruins of the Figueres Municipal Theater. He dedicated himself to this project over a decade, being excited by the objective of bringing together all his work in his birthplace.

Next to the impressive and detailed work that can be observed on the building, the museum contains the broadest range of works of the artist. It displays work ranging from his earliest artistic experiences to surrealistic creations, to those created over the last years of his life. It exhibits some of Dali´s most outstanding work such as The Girl from Figueres (1926), The Spectre of Sex Appeal (1932) and Soft Self-Portrait with Fried Bacon (1941) and next to paintings and drawings also shows sculptures, installations and photography of this exceptional artist.

Barcelona is one of the richest cities regarding the gastronomy and restaurants’ world. The density of good places to eat is outstanding, and part of this can be explained by the importance and the health power of the Mediterranean diet, so present in the kitchen of the Barcelona’s homes and restaurants. Sometimes, this diet is reinvented thanks to the modernity and the influence of the worldwide culinary traditions.

Visiting Barcelona in this occasion can be a fantastic way to enrich your “inside” cooker or to improve your job’s skills. Moreover, Barcelona is a city that deserves to be consumed slowly, as a good wine, by walking calmly through its streets, taking some drinks in a terrace and maybe having dinner in front of the sea.

And for those who like to live comfortably, with the peace and luxury that can make your journey, an unforgettable experience of pleasure and emotions, we invite you to check our range of luxury apartments in Barcelona, and find the style that best matches your desires.

The gay world in Barcelona

The gay and lesbian’s world in Barcelona

There is a site in l’Eixample district of Barcelona, called Gayxample to create a word’s joke and to express the affluence of homosexual people who visit it. It is full of business, shops, bars and clubs focused in this sector. By walking there, you can easily notice its atmosphere.

Barcelona is an open-minded city. It has been recognized as a sexual tolerant place thanks to its public support to the gay and lesbian community, through the massive celebrations of the Gay’s Proud Day, the Gayixample or the large offer of entertainment designed for this public.

Barcelona Gay Friendly

Barcelona Gay Friendly

Among the nightclubs of Barcelona of this category, we have to highlight Arena (Gran Via, 593) for gays, and Aire, for lesbians. Both clubs welcome a very heterogenic public, and offer original celebrations to satisfy the most demanding customers. The entrance is free and some of the parties start from 11pm or 12am.

Another option is Salvation (Ronda Sant Pere, 19-21). This is a Matinée Groups’ place, which has a combination of styles: the best of the Ibiza’s music and the most famous remember hits.

If you want live performers by the best drags, you can try Dietrich (Consell de Cent, 255). For crazy and funny activites, shows and more, you can’t miss Metro (Sepúlveda Street, 185), a classic for those inside the “ambient”.

These are only some of the places that deserve to be visited during a getaway in Barcelona. The night and the day is magic in this city, and everybody can find his/her place. This is what makes Barcelona, a city that invites to have fun, live the life and stay young.

Besides, you can have all the luxury and glamour you look for, by staying in a top rent apartment for yourself. Hotels don’t let the guests have their own space, neither intimacy, and you never feel like living in a city, but just visiting it for a while. If you book a luxury flat in Barcelona for some days, you will be able to design your days and organize exactly depending on your needs and desires.
