In addition to the Primavera Sounds, the Summer Case and the Sónar, Barcelona hosts another great music festival, that grows up every year in terms of attendance and proposals, that is the Cruïlla Barcelona Festival. Cruïlla Barcelona is a music festival held at Parc del Forum in Barcelona the first half of July. The 5th edition will take place on 6 and 7 July 2012.

During this weekend will pass through 4 stages of the Festival over 40 bands from 6 pm to 5 am.
But the festival is not only concerts: Parc del Forum will be full of activities, circus, games, workshops, stalls from organizations with social projects. Cruïlla Barcelona wants to be a festival without music labels, where you can enjoy good music without prejudice, where you dont’ have to fill that you belong to any urban tribe, where the party and the public are the main characters. One of the challenges for this year, is to reach 30,000 attendees, to continue to grow up the next year.
Iggy Pop with The Stoogies will be the main headliner, along with the legendary ska band The Specials. In addition, the Parc del Forum in Barcelona will host performances by: Gogol Bordello, with his Balkans punk music, Linton Kwesi, one of the leading musicians of the regeneration of reggae, the duo from Mali Amadou & Mariam, one of the most famous couples in Africa, the hip-hop artists, MIA and Cypress Hill, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, the reincarnation of James Brown, and many more.
