Carnival is, still now, a different way to have fun. Some people work hard during the year to create beautiful carriages that are part of a Carnival’s “Rua”: Each of the carriages is devoted to a specific theme, and the people who have built it are customized with amazing elements related to it. Which is the purpose? To win the competition and have lots of fun following the music and dancing.

The general mood of the Madrid’s Carnival is festive, burlesque and satirical. It is a chance to express all kind of rebel ideas, political criticism and irreverent jokes.
