The Shopping Night Barcelona 2012

On November 22th, the improved and expanded third edition of the Shopping Night Barcelona will take place in the famous shopping street, Passeig de Gracia, and the surrounding areas, will be open from 20pm. to 01am. The street will be decorated with Christmas lights and will be offering fairytale themes as Puss in Boots, H.C Andersen stories, Peter Pan and many other popular children’s fairy tales.

The Shopping Night Barcelona is celebrating its third edition and it promises to outdo itself with more shops taking part, new areas and spaces and a wider, broader range of events compared to last year’s edition.
Following the success of the second edition, in which more than 10,000 people took to the streets to enjoy a night of shopping, partying and entertainment. The event’s promoters intend to consolidate the Shopping Night Barcelona and place it amongst other major international events, such as the night events in New York, London or Paris.

On November 22th, coinciding with the kickoff for the christmas shopping and the official turning-on of the Christmas lights, Passeig de Gràcia will turn into a big party full of special events, music, celebrities and other surprises yet to be revealed. BCN&CAKE, the sweetest fair

Barcelona opens its doors to the world of Creative Pastry with the 1st edition of BCN&CAKE, a meeting of creative minds and the sweetest hands of the city. A 3.500 square meters exhibition area of the Fira de Barcelona – Montjuïc will gather 110 exhibitors from shops, schools, bakeries, producers, bloggers, wholesalers of raw materials and packaging.

On 24 and 25 November, all the interested public, as amateurs, patisseries and bakeries owners, packaging experts, culinary students, will participate in competitions, presentations, books, workshops and the tasting of a giant cake with 1.000 pieces.  You will meet all products related to this world in the same enclosure. BCN&CAKE will recive participants not only from Spain, but even creative pastry lovers from Portugal, England and France.

The idea of the BCN&CAKE, the first exhibition of creative pastry, came from a young team were was Anabel Lopez, owner of the Barcelona bakery ‘I Love Cookies’, and Abstract, a company that organizes unique events. “I know that many people who have made cakes for friends, than decided to open a bakery. But we have to professionalize the industry, so we thought that this kind of meeting was a good idea”, said Lopez.
Cupcakes, decorated cookies, fondant cakes… In BCN&CAKE there will be the opportunity to taste, buy, learn to make and improve your technique.
Tickets are now on sale at the official website of BCN&CAKE and you can buy it for 5€ (one day) or 7.50 euros (two days). If you buy it at the box office, the price is 8 and 12 euros respectively. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 hours to 22:00 hours.
