From 6 to 9 June 2012 will be held the IX Congress of SED (Sociedad Española del Dolor) in the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB). SED is the spanish chapter of IASP (International Association for the Study of Pain)
The International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) is integrated in the new coastal seafront of Barcelona, Diagonal Mar, part of the new technological and business district known as “Barcelona 22 @“, one of the more developed urban areas of the city. Here we offer our quality apartments located in Diagonal Mar, which are situated close to the CCIB, one of the largest convention center in southern Europe.
The CCIB is 100,000 m2, including the Convention Center and the Auditorium Forum. The center can accommodate up to 15,000 delegates. A unique location for its architectural beauty and its location facing the sea.
The program of the Congress range from basic science to advanced interventional techniques, not least other important issues and some aspects of neuropathic pain, opioid use, osteoporosis and orofacial pathology, approached from the clinical and practical standpoint.
The speakers were chosen for their recognized academic training in the topics. Three round tables have been reserved for SED working groups to expose the magnificent work done about acute pain, neurostimulation, and musculoskeletal pain.
SED also host the Theoretical and Practical Course on Ultrasound in Pain. Ultrasound, as a diagnostic tool or puncture guide, presents a great number of advantages, including the lack of potentially toxic radiations and the possibility to use it in the medical advise or in the patient’s bedside.
There will be a maximum of six students for table, which makes a total of 120 students for session. The registration fee is 150€ for session and 700€ for the entire course. Acceptance will be in order of registration, and to be registered for the Congress is the essential requirement.
For those who want to stay in the city center, we also offer top accommodation apartment at only a 15 min ride from the Congress.
