The price shown in the "Total Cost" includes all taxes, special discounts, and holiday surcharges. The final cleaning fee and refundable security deposit are not included, but may be found in the apartment description.

What is the difference between a Luxury apartment and a Basic apartment?

Apartments listed in the Luxury category must meet Rent Top Apartments' high quality standards. These flats are located in the most exclusive tourist areas with amenities comparable to a four or five star hotel: air-conditioning, heating, pool, cable, phone, and more. Luxury service is typically run by a Rent Top Apartments team member on-call 24/7 to assist guests with their travel needs including restaurant reservations, directions, taxi service, etc. Apartments listed in the Basic category are individually managed by the apartment owner. These apartments also must meet Rent Top Apartments' standards for holiday apartments, and are often modest sized studios or apartments in the city center offering clean, safe accommodation at economical prices.

How do I book an apartment online?

To book an apartment online, simply select the dates of your check-in and check-out by clicking on the pop-up calendars and the number of sleeps (guests staying in the accommodation requiring a bed). Press on "Recalculate" to confirm dates, number of guests and total cost. Click "Book" to begin the payment process. After entering you personal information, the button "Next" will take you to a new page, reviewing the payment details and Euro amount to be paid by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or PayPal. Click "Send" to be taken to a secure banking website to complete you payment details. Upon payment confirmation (within 24 hours), a reservation confirmation will be sent to you by email, providing a booking ID number, exact address, and detailed arrival instructions.

How do I book an apartment over-the-phone?

To book an apartment by phone, simply call our office at +34 932955916 with your booking details (apartment name / reference number, dates of your check-in and check-out, number of sleeps, and credit card information). Our general office hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 8pm. We speak English, French, Italian, and Spanish. What if I don't remember my passport number?

If while booking an apartment online, you do not know your passport number, please enter the number "1" in the designated space and write in the comments area that you will provide the passport number at a later date. This is no problem for us, as we would prefer you to confirm your reservation at your earliest convenience to ensure your apartment availability.

What if I don't know my arrival and departure time?

If while booking an apartment online, you do not know you're your arrival and departure time, please enter any hour in the designated space and write in the comments area that you do not know your arrival details, but will provide them at a later date. This is no problem for us, as we would prefer you to confirm your reservation at your earliest convenience to ensure your apartment availability.

Are taxes and final cleaning fees included in the Total Cost?

How do I request an invoice for my reservation?

To request an invoice for your booking payment, please write in the comments section during your online booking process, requesting the invoice and providing the full details to be included. Please note, that Rent Top Apartments may generate invoices for all booking payments received online; however, payments given to the owner/property manager are his or her direct responsibility. Can I cancel or change my reservation?

For all booking cancellations, the following policy will be applied:

1) If the date of cancellation is greater than 45 days from check-in, 50% of the booking payment will be refunded.

2) If the date of cancellation is less than 45 days from check-in, 0% of the booking payment will be refunded.

4. Check-in / Check-out process

Where will I get the keys to the apartment?

When you arrive at the apartment, we will provide you with keys for entry, a walk-through of the apartment, instructions for appliance use, explanation of the neighbourhood, public transport, nearest super markets, garbage disposal, recommended restaurants and bars, and a contract to sign. Please be sure to bring your passport and the same credit card used to confirm your reservation.

Who will meet me when I arrive to my destination city?

We ask that you call the check-in contact person (phone number is provided in the confirmation email) after you pick up your luggage and when you are taking a taxi, so that we know you have arrived on time. Your check-in contact person will be there to meet you outside in front of the apartment building and will provide you with keys for entry, a walk-through of the apartment, instructions for appliance use, explanation of the neighbourhood, public transport, nearest super markets, garbage disposal, recommended restaurants and bars, etc.

What type of contract will I sign at check-in?

During the check-in process, we ask that you sign a basic contract protecting both you and the property owner which confirms full payment received and explains in detail the apartment rules and terms of usage as well as defines the conditions to return your security deposit.

What do we do if there is something broken in the apartment?

Please notify your check-in contact person as soon as possible for apartment items you find damaged or in need or repair, during your stay so that we may promptly resolve the problem. We want you to enjoy your stay and not be inconvenienced by something which can be fixed or replaced.

When will my security deposit be returned?

The check-out procedure and apartment review may take around 20 minutes. We will meet you at the flat at Check-out to collect keys and to return your security deposit if the apartment is in good condition (as it was at the check-in) and no items are missing or damaged.

We always try to be flexible with the check-in and check-out hours. In the event that we should have a check-in / check-out on the same day, we would need to apply the normal hours listed on our website. If these cannot be met, you may always leave your luggage locked in the apartment's private storage area (when available), or we may watch it in our office in the city center while you walk around town and enjoy something to eat.
